St. Kevin's Community College Dunlavin & Project Phoenix

Project Phoenix is a community based project brought to bear by a local man with a vision of enhancing access to information and services for the Dunlavin community on a number of different levels. With careful planning, the use of advanced technology, local good will and the enthusiasm and energy of St.Kevin's Transtion Year Students 2009,  we set out to deliver a project that was geared towards meeting the following objectives:

  1. Support Business Creation and Development
  2. Encourage Local Tourism
  3. Improve Local Cultural awareness
  4. Deliver an Innovative Social Information Network
  5. Develop capacity for rural community to utilise ICT
  6. Improved youth & community Awareness
  7. Enhanced cross generational interaction

This web site represents the community, business and volunteer organisations based in Dunlavin and surrounding district. The site’s function is to provide information, assistance and act as a portal to the various aspects of life in the area.

Our Audience

The intended audience is the Students & Faculty of St.Kevins, indeed all schools in our area, the community of Dunlavin at large and surrounding areas, the greater online audience both locally nationally and around the world. Indeed anyone from the great cosmos interested in the buzzing metropolis of Dunlavin are welcome to visit.
