The Milltown Singers

The Milltown Singers were founded in 1989 in Milltown Dunlavin, By Mary Deering and Barry Deering.

The choir group still have ten of their original group members with them today but sadly two have passed away.

The choir group now has 20 members that live locally.

They perform well known plays in Mary Deerings barn in Milltown and have gone as far as the Albert Hall in London and to Italy to perform!! And usually perform annually in the Dunlavin Arts Festival and in the local churches at Christmas time!!

They have performed many great classics such as, 'H.M.S Pinafore' by Gilbert and Sullivans in 1995, 'Oklahoma' in 1999, 'The Mikado' By Gilbert and Sullivans in 2007, Colleen Bawn in 2008 as shown above, 'The Armed Man' by Karl Jenkins 2009 and wiil perform 'Gloria' by Karl Jenkins in the Albert Hall in London during the summer.
