Presentation to Oireachtas September 2010

John Fitzgerald, John O'Reilly and Susan O'Gorman made a presentation to the Oireachtas on how the scheme operates in Wicklow. Community First Responders provide a vital support to their communities in primarily Heart Attack, Cardiac Arrest and Breathing Difficulties. They are able to provide Emergency Medical care for these types of incidents while awaiting the arrival of an Emergency Ambulance. They also provide support and reassurance to patients and their families following a medical emergency.

Why not take up something really worthwhile for 2010 and join Dunlavin Community First Responders?

Community first responders provide vital support in our community in the event of someone having a Heart Attack, Cardiac Arrest or Breathing Difficulties.

Our responders provide Emergency Medical Care while patients are waiting on the Ambulance to arrive. They also provide support and reassurance to patients and families following a medical emergency. They operate within a 3 mile radius of Dunlavin.

We are a voluntary organisation, no joining fee, full training provided in CPR and AED, be part of the Dunlavin Team.
