Operation Transformation has hit Dunlavin - come along and join us as we all strive to get fit and lose a few pounds along the way! The programme lasts eight weeks and included in this is an exercise class each Monday 8.30 - 9.30pm, an optional weigh in and meal plans along with optional walks and exercise throughout the week if you wish to take part. All this for less than €8 a week! Sign up for 8 classes for €60 or pay weekly at €8 per week. As part of this year's 'Spring Clean', Dunlavin Tidy Towns are organising the cleaning of several areas in the town on Saturday, 19 May 2012 from 9.30am to be completed within 2 hours. If you are aware of any particular area that needs attention please contact a member of the Tidy Towns Committee. We are asking people on the day to give an hour or two to help in this voluntary effort to clean up the town. Gloves and rubbish bags will be available on the day. Meeting point will be the Monument at Fair Green.

Entries are now being accepted for the Festival of Arts Annual Short Story Competition. The closing date is April 14th. maximum word count 2000 per story. Entry fee of €5 per story. Name and address on a separate sheet to be submitted to Florence Grace, Rathsallagh, Dunlavin, Co Wicklow.

Meitheal is hosting a shave or dye fundraiser on April 27th at 3pm in aid of cancer research. Anyone who sponsors Lisa can vote on the colour she dyes her hair, while Jeannie will go for the full shave. Please drop in and support this good cause.
